Great sound and very convenient, so of course they're discontinued with only a few overpriced used ones available now.I plug my little thumb drive mp3 player into mine for camping or swimming and it's good for 10 yards or so.My used one arrived filthy and sticky so I docked the reseller some review points and cleaned it up and I'm trying to be very careful since they'll be no replacement if it gets broken.
They refused to reimburse my full cost, until I lodged a complaint with the bbb. Even then, it was tough. Completely disgusting. It's all sticky, and all sorts of cat hair and other stuff is stuck to it now. Well, first off, they're a little bigger than you might think from the picture, but that's ok. I bought these speakers thinking they'd be easy and transportable. The main problem, however, is that after a few months of using them, the plastic case seems to be degrading. Who knows - perhaps it's toxic stuff eeking out of it.To add insult to injury, Logitech's customer relations is *horrible*, and has fought me tooth and nail.
What's there to say, I bought it for a song (under $20) and, considering its size, it pumps out some very respectable sound. It goes easy on batteries and takes standard AAs, which I always prefer. One caveat, it does not have built in volume adjustment, not a big deal to me.
Worth the 20 bucks I spent. which is very handy. The stand is actually the case that covers and protects the front. Got it a couple years ago and its still going strong. Bought these for the wifes laptop and iPod. this thing has great sound quality and its very portable. Can use it plugged in or cordless on AA batteries.
I am an entertainer and I have been looking for a wireless or battery operated small speaker for a long time which provides the music to my show. This is an awesome, compact speaker and works like a dream
